Does vayama have an app to download?

Their staff is unhelpful and everybody tells you different information and call centers are never actually a big help… and you are lucky if the persons English is OK apparently it is india.

Droped out of line once. Vayama never again…. I booked flight to Nanning China a couple months ago. I recently received flight change which resulted in 15 hour layover in LAX. I was not happy camper as one would expect.

My disappointment led me to this website. He promptly answered every email and went as far as finding a flight like the original, if we could leave day earlier. We could not leave earlier—so I will have to do 15 hour layover. I purchased a ticket thru Vayama for travelling from US to India. They booked me a ticket that did not have thru-checkin. I called them up to see if they can make a change to the itinerary. They told they cannot make the change and asked me to contact the airlines.

When I called the airlines, they directed me back to Vayama — saying the booking was done incorrectly and they cannot make a change. After multiple calls to vayama and airlines, I realized that it cannot be changed! So much for the customer service. I advise anybody to book thru a reputed travel agent. These are crooks who just want to book a ticket and then not service the customer.

You will realize this when you want to make a change. Better be cautious than be sorry. Incrediably high fare, and even higher fees, customer service if wonderful if you have the time to send emails and at least phone calls. Be prepared to be hung up on, and to spend lots of time on hold.

To be prepared watch the movie or series Outsourced. Each time you call Vayama, and wait through all that music, when someone finally picks up, the line WILL get disconnected. For me, the 7th or 8th time has been the charm. My situation was that i tried to cancel my ticket soon after i bought it because i suddenly found out i lost my job. Most other reputable airline companies will waiver or reduce penalties given the situation, and given the fact that i called almost immediately after booking the ticket.

Vayama has horrible customer service. No notification given if your ticket is not refundable or refundable unless you call and ask after your ticket is booked. Would never use again. I make travel arrangements all the time using travel websites. However, I was greatly disappointed with Vayama. I will not be using or recommending them in the future.

I am writing this review in hope to help others because I succesfully resolved a problem which keeps repeating with vayama service. About 2 months ago we have booked an air ticket with vayama for one person one return flight. Within 24 hours we got a reply stating that the booking could not be confirmed due to problems with the credit card. We thought, nevermind this site and found another air ticket through another site and bought it.

However, several days afterwards we have realised that vayama is still trying to bill the price for the air ticket to our credit card. We reacted immediately, blocked the payment and asked vayama why are they billing a ticket they have cancelled. According to them, we should have realised that we have received one booking confirmation with one code and one cancellation with another code.

We believe such business behaviour is deceitful especially if vayama knows that errors, that is, duplications of tickets are possible. To make the long story short, the only thing that made them budge was the threat of complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Their telephone customer service was terrible and entirely unhelpful but after writing several emails back and forth, we increased the pressure and they reviewed our problem. We gave them booking information for the other ticket bought independently of vayama, they got the refund from the air carrier for the ticked booked through them and the story was over.

So, in the end our experience with vayama was positive but with a lot of nerves lost over threats and explanations. I just spent 30 minutes reading all these negative reviews about Vayama… If only I had read them first! I used Vayama last year and got a good price for an international fare.

THEN I read the negative reviews and got worried. However, my flight was fine. No problems. I received email notifications of my booking from Vayama.

I did easily speak to a customer rep by phone — I forget why — and he was probably from India, but I did get through.

All discount airline bookings charge high fees if you change your flight. It is the way it is, so be sure to read the fine print.

And pushed us off on the airline which was closed on the weekend. We began our quest to get another flight thru the airline and once we determined that the airline was closed on the weekend we sought help back thru Vayama.

So much for customer service and repeat business. I had a bad experience with Vayama costumer service, it seems like they hired the laziest guys around who try to make you do their work like call the airlines to check stuff.

I would not recommend Vayama to anyone- there are more alternatives that are much better. Vayama did not send me the tickets within the hours they promise, although they did debit the cost from my card.

They were deceptive to the point of dishonesty. They take a long time to respond to email and when they do, they do not write complete sentences, so the message is not clear.

My plan was in place and went accordingly. I had a pleasant experience and everytime I had a question I just sent over an email and it was answered with in 24 hours. Do NOT use Vayama! Changing tickets is not only very difficult and expensive to change, but they have the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time.

So, be cautious and definitely make sure nothing unforeseen happens to screw up your travel plans… Good luck with that! I have used vayama many times and have never had any problems.

In fact, they are always my go-to website when looking for flights. Be aware, if you are changing your travel plans, you are not going to get to do it for free with any cheap ticket website! All of the cheap flight websites orbitz, travelocity, vayama, cheapoair, momondo, etc say this. Terrible customer service. I booked a flight for my daughter spending six months in Kenya. Had to make changes due to health issues. Extremely bad support, both email and phone. When we made a change, we showed up at Heathrow and Vayama had not cancelled the original flight so was classed a no-show.

Luckily Virgin was very decent about it and got her on. Absolutely no help in follow-up call with Vayama, which they farm out to call centers with no clue!!! So I just spent forever on the phone to get them to resend the confirmation email. Finally they just sent me to a third-party website: checkmytrip.

Go to the Better Business Bureau and submit a complaint. It is better to have a complaint be documented and filed with a government agency. After you submit the complaint, copy it to feedback vayama. I bought a ticket through Vayama to save a few dollars, and in the end it was a horrible mistake. They where unwilling to work with me to correct a scheduling error. Air canada did not recognize their company as a legit company.

They said my tickets were purchased through a ticket broker and unable to access the reservation and that I needed to contact Vayama directly. Vayama was anything but helpful. In the end it cost me double my money to make my trip happen. Lesson learned…. Vayama is absolutely Terrible, and I would highly recommend NOT booking with them unless you enjoy spending hours on the phone with unhelpful customer service reps or spending huge fees to cancel flights.

We booked a trip to the Bahamas using Vayama and received 2 conformation emails both had different trip IDs and 2 conformation receipts 1 for each trip ID. After waiting on hold for a very long time, a customer service rep told us that we would be charged for only 1 trip, and sometimes multiple conformation emails are sent out by mistake.

To verify this, we called our credit card company to make sure only 1 trip was being charged. But to our surprise, 2 trips and 2 charges were pending! We waited on hold for even longer this time, which I honestly did not think was possible. Once off hold, we talked to a rude and unhelpful representative that was extremely difficult to understand. We asked to speak with the manager, who was once again very rude and demeaning.

However, we did not receive a cancellation conformation email like we were told we would, and we had to call back a third time and ask to cancel the trips again! Unfortunately, we had to learn how terrible Vayama is for ourselves, but hopefully you will save yourself a lot of hassle, frustration, and money by using a different booking agency.

Never before have I been so unsatisfied with a service or product that I have written a negative review, but Vayama is horrendous. I regret booking with Vayama so much! I booked a round trip but after I took off, Vayama sent me an email saying my flight had been changed. So I checked with the airline and they told me the change was made 2 months before Vayama informed me!

How efficient Vayama was! When I needed to cancel one of the flights, Vayama told me to contact the airline myself but the airline told me cancellation could be done by Vayama only. Then it became a nightmare because no one would process my request! That was a terrible experience and I will never book with Vayama ever again. I booked my ticket with vayama for family trip. After booking, it was a nightmare for me to get in touch with support.

Nobody was picking the call and once i could speak to support person and was of no use. Finally i decided to cancel my tickets with vayama and its been 25 days, my refund is still pending with vayama.

I booked the ticket with exploretrip. I had a very bad experience with vayama. Vayama is terrible and I suggest you stay far far away from them. Initially we booked a ticket for our wedding in Sri Lanka.

Sadly this did not prove to be true. However, when we searched online and called the airlines Jet we were told that there was availability on the exact flight we wanted. This was Lie 1. We stayed persistent and tried to get them to understand that there was, in fact, availability.

Lie 2. After much haggling literally being put on hold for over 1 hour and talking for over 1 hour they finally changed our ticket — with a fee of course. Lastly, we specifically asked them about visa issues traveling through India, but they assured us multiple times that since we were only in transit, we would not need a visa. Lie 3. She almost missed her own wedding because of Vayama! An immigration official took pity on her after she explained what had happened — amazingly he had heard about how bad Vayama is and let her stay in the transit section.

Not sure what good that answer did for me. They are a very sketchy company and I will never go back to them. If you want gray hairs, buy your ticket through Vayama.

On 26th nov i had a flight from cairo via amsterdam to st. I just wanted to let everyone know that Vayama actually provided my husband and I with excellent service. We had booked flights with vayama to West Africa and we unable to use them for safety reasons. David from customer service was so helpful, prompt with responses and did what he said he was going to do.

I was worried from reading some costumer reviews but they really surprised me. As the Travel Critic Admin referenced, cancelation insurance only covers cancelations caused by personal emergencies such as death, health, etc of the traveler, travel companion, or immediate family member. In other words, read the fine print. It is not unusual for deeply discounted tickets to have an associated high cost to change travel dates. This is NOT unique to vayama.

It is the way it is with the airlines these days. Interesting comment. There is a link to a very detailed PDF legal description of the policy. About a month after the tickets were bought, we had to change our trip dates hence the reason we bought the trip insurance , and they told us we COULD NOT change our dates without paying an extra charge.

Vayama has the worst possible customer service, I totally agree with many of the comments here. The person I got on the phone was unclear, dismissive, almost rude. I spent hours trying to get clear information, and they kept saying I had to deal with the airline I had an emergency and had to cancel a trip.

The airline said Vayama had to tell me what my options and penalties were. I went back and forth for half a day until someone at the airlines took mercy on me and gave me a code for a ticket credit. Has anyone tried calling Vayama today?

There phone lines seem to be down, which is terrible timing given the delays in Europe. Because I work on a remote site, my company pays for the flight to Dehli and I just booked from there. I called Vayama to try and change my flight to the next day and they would not do it. They were rude, dismissive and would not let me speak to a supervisor.

Their english skills are terrible! When you call the number that they give you for customer service, you are talking to a call center in India. I was able to contact Malaysia Airlines and they canceled my flights for me and gave me a credit.

In the end I was able to go on my vacation, but I had to buy a second ticket, from my companies travel agent. Now, I want to use my Malaysia Airline ticket credit and have to rebook the flight through Vayama because I bought it through them.

I am waiting to see what happens and will repost with the final results. But, I am on my second phone call and email with no positive results. Based on my experience so far, I give them an F! I had a really pleasant experience with Vayama. I was origially desperate for the service of Vayama representive, since I was told my flight was non-refundable if I cancel the itinerary.

To my surprise, David responded to me early in the morning and helped me solve the whole problem within 4 hours! Because of him, I would still choose Vayama for my next itinerary, and also recommend to my family and friends. Vayama is awful. Avoid, despite how good the fares may look. Finding a fare and booking it is the easy part.

But woe to you if for any reason you have to interact with Vayama. Their customer service is hideous. The management of the company is in California, but there is no way to reach anyone in California, everything is routed to their call center in Bangalore. This is a highly amateur customer service operation that is difficult to reach and then when you do reach them, difficult to get a satisfactory standard of service from. You are better off dealing with the airlines direct or a travel agent in the US who is more invested in customer satisfaction.

Never use Vayama. They have the worst customer service. Nothing is clear and if you call for changing your trip schedule it will be nightmare, customer service will ask you to write an email then they will give you some exorbitant charges……..

Beware of Vayama! Hours and hours spent trying to get service for a date change on 3 international tickets. Every email and phone contact gave a different answer. The Vayama ticket agents refused to make any change at any cost and the tickets were useless! Even thought the airline would allow the change for a small fee..

Contact with the New Zealand airline directly finally brought about a solution. New Zealand Airline representatives were wonderful and professional. New Zealand Air went out of there way to get Vayama to fulfill their ticket contracts. When I called your customer service line, they told me to send an email. When I emailed, the email said to call the customer service line. The answering machine on the customer service line said to email. I stayed on the line hoping someone would finally answer.

The lowest ticket prices are always non-refundable! It is always the same and you must choose to pay extra to get refundable tickets. This is harsh but not as harsh as loosing almost a thousand dollars a ticket because Vayama is more concerned about selling than providing honorable, fair, and transparent services.

Vayama was being deliberately vague about a refund policy which they, by experience, are well aware of, and absolutely deceptive in the conversation with me. The honest and above-board thing to do would be for Vayama to offer a choice of refundable or non-refundable tickets or at least advise the purchaser that he is buying a non-refundable ticket since long experience tells you this is the case. I was willing to pay the fee and the difference and they still would NOT allow me to change my flight.

That said, their customer service an outsourcing center in India would not help me AT ALL, and after waiting in a queue for 30 — 40 minutes I received an attitude, and was hung up on. I would not recommend their service to anyone. Hello Pamela — Many of the lowest airfares offered by Online Travel Agencies OTA are the result of special negotiated rates with their airline partners.

Who takes the hit and focus of complaints when this occurs is the OTA of course since they issued the ticket s. So what I was eluding to within my posting on this is if there is any chance the purchaser might need to make changes after purchase or might need to cancel altogether, review the terms and conditions of the fare carefully. Value today in airline ticket purchase must also include consideration of additional charges beyond the cost of the ticket….

VayamaVoice thank you for your comments to our readers. Is there some sort of trip-protection coverage that a customer may purchase that would allow them more flexibility for cancellations or changes? Booking with Vayama has been a complete nightmare. The first time I tried booking tickets, after I hit submit a technical error occurred on the site and when I refreshed immediately, ticket fares went up.

Now that I finally have my tickets booked, an unexpected business trip came up and I have to push my trip back. I cannot even begin to describe how bad it is.

The agents have poor communication skills. They are slow to respond. They do not take the time to read you file. They are impatient and unwilling to help you.

At the end of all this I would not be surprised if I end up paying more in cancellation fees than the cost of the tickets. Andres and others — I completely understand the frustration and emotional impact when changes are requested to very restrictive airline tickets. If my response to Andres seemed robotic, it could be because often times the situation is the same. When discounted airline tickets are purchased, whether from an online agency, a traditional agency, or even directly from the airline, there are typically restrictive conditions placed on those tickets.

This last point is of particular importance. Often times the low fares are tied to a class of service which only a small percentage of the overall seats on a flight are assigned.

It is rare that any complaints are pointed at vayama when the initial booking is completed. Because the user is very happy with the fare they were able to get in comparison to what was found on other sites. Complaints are almost always associated with one of two things….. Pay a premium for the change. I close with this piece of advice to all travelers. When making your airline ticket purchase consideration, ask yourself, will I need to change this ticket later?

If the answer is yes, consider paying more money for the ticket in an effort to get more flexibility from the rules. They hide behind some silly script they have been taught and make no attempts to help you. Vayama is positively wretched. I initially thought it was Vayama who was very difficult when I tried to make changes on my flight but found out their hands were tied and it was actually the airlines that were the uncooperative and difficult part of the picture.

My salvation was talking to David at Vayama you can contact him as follows: feedback vayama. He has to be one of the most caring and consciencious managers I have ever worked with and has bent over backwards to help resolve this issue.

With the countless time and energy David put in to resolve my ticketing changes,a resolution is now in the makings.

I would not hesitate to recommend Vayama in the future to possible travelers. I rate them a 5 star! I had bad experience with Vayama initially but David the Vayama Customer Relations Manager is really nice and he helped us resolving our problem.

He really looked into the issue and resolved it. I am leaving this review just in case if anybody needs any help in future they can email feedback vayama. He will resolve it. Vayama has the worst customer care and service I have ever encountered with flight changes. Do not use Vayama. It is well worth buying directly from any of the airlines. These are intermediaries that do not add any value.

For a slight difference you will buy a nightmare…. I agree with the other reviews that Vayama does not care about their customers.

Buy directly from the airlines. Even try calling any airline and negotiating your ticket. Vayama has been a nightmare. The last leg of my trip was cancelled by the airlines. Vayama claims they can do nothing about it and have left us with no way to get home.

They also say they cannot refund our money for the reutrn portion of the trip so that we can book elsewhere. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau and would highly suggest you avoid any transactions with this business to prevent a similar experience.

I recently bought a round trip ticket to Belize from Lax for Christmas from Vayama. I bought it on Sept. Well, I discovered that my trip departure was scheduled for Sept.

I called the customer service center and was told by someone I could barely understand that I would receive a return call with a quote on how much it would cost to fix this mess. I have never had luck so bad with any reservation and I believe that the dates were changed within the website as I was making my reservation. It is impossible to work out a complicated problem with someone you cannot understand because you cannot be sure what you are agreeing to when Vayama says something.

Vayama is absolutely wretched; how they stay in business is a mystery. I have called them numerous times with regards to changing a flight, and each time they assure me that they have submitted the change and that an email is on its way, yet it never arrives. They obviously train their call center people to say whatever it takes to get the customer off of the phone.

I will never use them again, they are not honest people. I have used their services seven times in the last three years. I am a happy customer. Caution: If you are a wishie washy individual who can not make up your mind as when to fly or want to change your flight a few times or can not spell your name and address right then do your self a favor and pay full price and book your ticket some where else.

Nobody can match their prices. Believe me, I search a few times a day for weeks before I purchase a ticket at the lowest price possible. Not once I found any cheaper ticket any where else. As long as you do NOT change your flight after you submit your request you will do fine. The first two gave me inconsistent answers and did not call me back.

Hey Pamela — No contact from Alex as of yet on my end. I can even be reached on facebook at VayamaVoice. David VayamaVoice on Twitter. Hi Alexis, inquiring minds want to know…. Did you contact David at Vayama, as indicated in his comment here? What was the result? If that is what you experienced, then there is an error which we will correct and reimburse you for immediately. Please contact me at feedback vayama. But I can assure you and other readers, we at vayama are not out to take advantage of consumers.

We would be out of business by now if that were truly the case. Within your email provide me with your vayama Trip ID and the best number to contact you at. Hi Lydia — I apologize for not seeing your posting here earlier. If this is still an open need for you, please contact me at feedback vayama. When you call them they just tell you to call the airlines, which of course are not going to be able to help you because you booked it through vayama. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life.

First of all, Vayama double charged me for my flight. A month later, after a million phone calls and emails I have still not been refunded. Almost as much as the original quote. Each time I rang to talk about my flight or refund for being double charged no one had any recollection or records of any previous conversations or emails. It has been a nightmare dealing with Vayama and I encourage you to never do so.

Even if the flight is more expensive elsewhere it is totally worth it. They suggest to contact airlines directly, because they do not want to work, they just need your money!! Please contact me either via Facebook VayamaVoice or by email to feedback vayama. Include your name and vayama Trip ID witin your communication. What a disaster!! Totally unprofessional and uncaring. Vayama is a money-spinning venture with no respect for their customers.

I had a horrible experience with a flight I booked through Vayama. It turns out the departure time I was given by Vayama was wrong; it was an hour earlier than they had told me. I have not yet received any acceptable response from Vayama. I follow that up with offering my services if you still have a need of assistance. You can send me an email at feedback vayama. Have had issues coz of recent British Airways strike.

Vayama gave different information to that on the BA website [i. With Vayama the list goes on and on and on and on. Seems like they outsource customer calls to India and it is nearly impossible to resolve a problem with them. First, it is very hard to understand them. Vayama did not give any straight answers as to what I need to do to get a refund and then they told me I had to figure it out with the airline directly. And then they said if the airline did not want to help, to let them know and they will try to get a refund for me.

I called Vayama again and they wrote me an email saying they are not able to help me since the problem is with the airline not them. I just bought a tickets to go to Mexico and we had an emergency and could not go on our trip.

I called Vayama customer service. They said I could reschedule my trip but it was going to be more expensive then what we paid for to start with. They take forever to return your emails.
